Al-Masjid
The main prayer hall is located on the first floor of the facility. It accommodates about 1,000 worshipers. The ongoing activities include: The Five daily prayers, Friday prayers, Eid prayers, in addition to the ongoing religious classes and functions. A variety of Muslim scholars from all over the Muslim world and from the U.S. are sometimes invited as guest speakers in these functions.
Social Events
The basement at our facility can accommodate many social events such as weddings and other occasions. Please call in advance 215-765-2743 or contact us for other information regarding the catering services and other arrangements.
Social Services
Marriage contracts according to the Islamic Shariah, divorce certificates, preparation of wills, funeral, death certificates, resolving some social and domestic disputes according to Islamic Shariah.
Youth Programs
Youth club runs from September through May, and then our Summer Camp opens during the Summer season. Youth programs include the Quran, Islamic morals, arts and crafts as well as organized sports.
Sisters’ Activities
In the Sisters’ section there is a weekly class every Wednesday from 11:00am to 1:00pm in which Quranic sciences, Hadith, Sira, other Fiqh subjects are discussed.
Funerals and Graveyards
Al-Aqsa arranges funeral services in accordance with the Islamic Law, provides tombstones and owns burial spaces reserved just for Muslims in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
Dawaa Activities
Free books, brochures and tapes are available for the general public. They present detailed information about Islam to non-Muslims. The center welcomes non-Muslims from the American public to visit its facilities and to receive information about Islam.
