The Al-Aqsa Youth Club is a great opportunity for young Muslims ages 7-16 years old to build strong character, explore their creativity, and discover ways that they can help their community. The club offers great collaborative learning experiences that range from a variety of service projects to art making.
One of the main purposes for the program is to encourage our youth to earn good deeds by helping others. Each student receives their own T-shirt they must wear every club date with “Make a Good Deed” written on the back. This helps remind and motivate them to become better Muslims by teaching them the value of volunteering their time or services. Service projects such as feeding the needy, making care packages for the homeless, and visiting senior homes help teach them importance of becoming responsible, caring Muslims who are capable of giving back to their communities.
There are also many art-making projects and fun activities that keep our youth busy throughout the year.
Parents are encouraged to get involved to assist on trip dates, community events, and service projects.
For more information about dates, times, and cost please contact Sis. Amna Ahmad. Spaces are limited.

Recent Youth Club Events
This month the Aqsa Youth Club had the chance to paint their clay tiles which they hand designed a few weeks ago. Artist Joe Brenman since fired and glazed the tiles. Here are some examples of youth club’s tiles which will eventually go up as part of the Windows of Peace mural on Germantown Ave.
Our Youth Group was on hand to assist with Al-Aqsa’s Community Paint Day. They helped welcome guests and serve refreshments, but also had a good time painting the new panels for the Al-Aqsa mural. Our staff also helped with henna tattoos and making guests feel welcome. This is one of our favorite projects because our youth love to work with people and help others in so many different ways.
Al-Aqsa Youth was given a very informative workshop by Miriam Abuawaddeh on Bullying. Miriam provided information about what bullying is, how to identify it, and how to stop it from occurring.
There are many types of bullying which can happen in person, through text messages or even online. Understanding how to cope and use various strategies can make a huge impact on someone's life. #Bullying prevention awareness.
